I require some suggestions for books that would teach the basics of Olympiad inequalities and beyond(Am GM ,Cauchy Schwartz...) I have found that most books start from a intermediate level and hence I am not able to study it properly. Plz share some of your favourite books.

  • The three main books I used in middle/high school for Olympiads in general were: Art of Problem Solving Vol 1 & 2 (Rusczyk) and Problem Solving Strategies (Engel).

  • Also the books by Holton really do start from the basics - 'First Step' and 'Second Step' volumes worth a look, well written with lots of exposition in addition to problems, and The Mathematical Olympiad Handbook by A Gardiner quite good. Been years since used them, do remember them being very user friendly/elementary so might be a good starting point (but dunno if you are looking for harder material).
